Finding Balance and Courage

We are a very busy family and we lead a busy life. We spend our winters in hockey rinks and at the dance studio, I am a glorified chauffeur. Between practices, games, recitals and homework it is difficult to eat well balanced meals at the dinner table and to keep our house clean and tidy. Most days feel like we are just getting by, you go to bed thinking ‘we did it’ then start again tomorrow.

December 2019, I knew I had hit our families limit, we were drowning. We were already busy with three kids in activities, two working parents, Christmas and I received a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease. This diagnosis had me starting a high dose of prednisone. I knew that as soon as one of us got the cold that was going around our fine balancing act would topple. I was exhausted.

While scrolling on my Facebook page I saw a post from an old friend and I inquired as I thought this could help us. It provided me with an easy way to keep my bathrooms and touch points clean and germ free! As I looked more into this I saw that it would also keep the hockey equipment, my car and our fingers clean and fresh. These products also have allowed me to provide a ‘healthy’ juice to make sure we get more nutrients while on the go and provide our family with options to prevent us from getting sick – keeping us healthy.

We have replaced all the toxic products in our home with natural and healthy alternatives that work. All our cleaning products have been reduced to one bottle of cleaner and our personal health products, toothpaste, soaps, body care items- all replaced too. Candles and air fresheners are gone. Good-bye endocrine disrupters, cancer causing agents and hello to a clean lifestyle! My health is improving, the elephant on my chest is gone. I don’t have a cloud over my head my memory has returned. I’ve found courage and hope again.

If this all sounds like you, come on in, grab a cup of tea, coffee or wine and settle in for the adventure. Join me as I continue to learn and grow. Just be warned, if you come along for the ride- it won’t be long before I have you believing in yourself too – ‘Girl Stop appologizing’. You’ll find yourself in the driver’s seat for your own adventures. Just buckle up because it’s bound to be bumpy and chaotic. Don’t worry though…I’ll always help you find what you need to balance the chaos.
